#one of the many things i love about river and the doctor #is that they both have this deep connection to the tardis #and through that to each other #she’s the child of the tardis #of his box #his constant companion #she was made for him #and you can’t convince me the tardis didn’t plan it that way #she knew what would happen #she knows how lonely he is #so she intervened #she helped create a perfect match for him #someone just like him #a timelady #someone who would be with him for centuries #who could keep up with him #and understand him on a level his human companions never could #someone who could see the doctor the way the tardis sees the doctor #and love him the way she loves him #the doctor and the tardis saved each other #and then the tardis gave him the greatest gift she could #unconditional love #in the form of river song #and river knows that and loves the tardis for it #and they are a perfect family #and i have a lot of feels #MARRIED OTP (via nextstop—everywhere)

OKAY THOUGH WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT A THING. JUST IMAGINE HOW RIVER IS FEELING IN THE LIBRARY. SHE GETS A DOCTOR BUT NOT HER DOCTOR. AND HE DOES LOOK RIGHT THOUGH HER BECAUSE TO HIM, AT THAT MOMENT, SHE IS JUST ANOTHER RANDOM PERSON HE HAS MET IN HIS TRAVELS. AND SO THE LAST THING SHE SEES BEFORE DYING IS THIS MAN WHO KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT HER BEGGING AND PLEADING FOR HER TO STOP. AND SHE STILL SACRIFICES HERSELF FOR HIM.
